I remember Timmy Franklin as a schoolmate a couple of years older than me at Villa back in the late 90s. We used to see each other at Student Council meetings and he was a super friendly guy who was pretty keen on sports but he was no world-beater at that stage.

Fast forward a little over 20 years and, after over a decade working as a lawyer, Tim now lives a very different life. He runs a triathlon squad called Tri Nation where he leads teams in training all over Brisbane and he does plenty of training of his own, and for a very good reason.

At the end of 2022, Tim plans to embark on a mission to break the world record for running around the world with a goal of running 63km a day for around 420 days. There have been 5 people so far that have accomplished the feat of running the world and Tim plans to become one of them while also doing it in the fastest time ever.

In this podcast, you’ll hear how he’s been able to keep working on himself, year after year, to allow him to become ready to take on a massive challenge like this and how he’s been able to break a huge goal like this into manageable chunks.
